One of the most popular doctrines in the world today is that certain races are literally descended from an unholy union between the Devil and Eve. I couldn’t count the number of times people have come up to me and, after only the briefest talk about religion, half-whispered to me conspiratorially that THEY believe that Eve and the Devil had um… an affair… and produced Cain, or something similar.Did this happen? MANY, MANY people believe this today. Why? Is it true? Does the Bible teach it? On what do they base this belief? On the Bible? And do they base it on the ENTIRE Bible, or only certain passages that support this belief?

There are many variations of this doctrine. Some say that the “Two seeds” of Genesis 3:15 refers to Adam’s children and Satan’s children by Eve. Others believe that Angels married women based on Genesis 6:2. Still others believe that Cain’s wife was a creation of the Devil, some sort of pre-Adamic half-woman.

Many of these believe that the term “Beasts of the field” in scripture means the descendants of the Devil, creatures who look like men but whom God doesn’t regard as men – which, depending on the person telling the story, can be Jews, Blacks, Orientals, or simply everyone who can’t trace their lineage back to the Mayflower.

So I think it’s time we dug into our Bibles and found out JUST WHAT IS THE TRUTH! DID the Devil father some or all of the non-white races? If he did, I want to know! And if not, I think you and I should both be able to prove that he didn’t!

So let’s begin! WAS Cain was the child of Eve and the Devil?

Genesis 3:14-15 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

When speaking to the Devil, God used the term “thy seed and her seed”. This is interpreted by the “Satan’s Seed” people to mean that here God refers to TWO blood lines in the world. One descended from the Devil (Cain) and one descended from Adam (Abel and later Seth).

Is this true? Is that what this scripture says? Look at it closely. Does it refer to two different fathers? Does it say, or imply, that one of Eve’s children was the child (seed) of Adam and one of the Devil? Not exactly, does it?

No, what it talks about is two seeds – that is, two children, races, nations, or groups of people – the seed of the DEVIL and the seed of EVE!

The problem with their way of thinking is that, if God was referring to Cain and Abel in this passage when he said the seed of Devil and the seed of Eve, is that they were BOTH the seed of Eve! Cain was EVE’S SEED, just as much as Abel was EVE’S SEED!

On the other hand, if this scripture had referred to the seed of the Devil and the seed of ADAM this interpretation would make real sense and be compelling proof… but it didn’t! It refers to children of the Devil and children of EVE!

So then, if this scripture isn’t saying that Cain is the child of the Devil out of Eve… then what IS it saying? Remember, the first principle of honest Bible study is that the Bible, and ONLY the Bible, can be allowed to interpret and explain the Bible, so let’s turn to the New Testament and see how the Bible interprets this…

Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

This is talking about the covenant God made with Abraham in Genesis 15, not about Genesis 3. Nonetheless, let’s apply Paul’s reasoning and see if it makes sense. Remember that God told Satan there would be enmity between “thy seed” and “her seed”. Notice he didn’t say seedS, as of many, “but unto her seed, which is Christ.”

Revelation 12:13, 17 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child…. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Here we see again a single seed mentioned. And it is the REMNANT of her seed which is persecuted by the Devil at the end time. And since we just learned that her seed (singular, not plural “seed”), the “man-child” could only be Christ, the son of God “born of woman”, then this “remnant of her seed” is the end-time remnants of the Church He left on Earth that KEEPS HIS COMMANDMENTS! HIS TRUE, SCATTERED CHURCH, the church CALLED AFTER HIS NAME!

And if HER seed doesn’t refer to the physical descendants of the woman, but rather the CHURCH that is called after the NAME of her seed, then the SEED of the Devil could only be the CHURCH that follows him, the Babylon religions that have survived from the days of Nimrod, in over 4000 years of recorded history, and have culminated in the Great Catholic Church! The very same church that will persecute and destroy the true Church of God in the end time!

Revelation 17:5-6 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

And in this end-time struggle between the Devil and his churches and the “remnant of her seed”, the devil will verily bruise the heel of the True Church of God, BUT THAT CHURCH, HEADED BY THE SEED OF EVE, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, WILL BRUISE HIS HEAD!

That is the short answer. It explains, in concise terms, just what the Bible meant when it prophesied the 6000 year struggle that began in Genesis 3:15. Now for the details, and solid, conclusive PROOF!

And this next scripture, by itself, should debunk the entire argument. It tells you EXACTLY HOW TO BE A CHILD OF GOD, or A CHILD OF THE DEVIL!

1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

THIS is what determines the children of God and the children of the Devil! He who OBEYS God is a child of God, and whoever OBEYS the devil is a child of the Devil! If a righteous man sins, he becomes the follower, and symbolically the CHILD of the Devil! Likewise, if he doesn’t do righteousness, he is NOT the child of God!

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

This means that if Jesus had sinned, HE WOULD HAVE IN THE MOMENT OF SINNING BEGAN TO SERVE SATAN AND JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF WOULD HAVE BECOME THE CHILD OF THE DEVIL!

But all of that notwithstanding, I haven’t yet even begun to make my point. Next I cite a scripture which is relied upon very heavily to prove that the Jews of Christ’s day were the physical children of Satan – and yet, ironically, this very scripture proves the opposite!

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

If you take this scripture by itself, not knowing the rest of the scriptures, this scripture COULD be interpreted to mean that these Jews were the physical children of the Devil… but let’s check out the context and let the Bible interpret itself! WERE these Jews the physical children of the Devil, or were they the physical children of Abraham?

John 8:31-35 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Jesus said that they were in bondage, which offended these proud Jews – they indignantly responded “We are ABRAHAM’S SEED, WE were never in bondage!” He responds by saying that they are the SERVANTS of sin if they commit sin. Which is identical to what He said through Paul which I just quoted – Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey… (Romans 6:16)

He said that they were the SERVANTS of sin if they sinned! And he also said that they WERE presently the servants of sin and had not been made free! And likewise, He said that they would be MADE free if they would follow him and be the SERVANTS of God!

By what we just read in 1 John 3:10, this means that they were made manifest as the children of the Devil! Furthermore, John also said that…

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is OF THE DEVIL; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

ANYONE who sins is “OF the Devil”! The Devil sinned from the beginning, and if you sin, you become his follower, and in a very real sense, his adopted child! According to John, even if you could trace your ancestry back to Abraham on every branch and were 100% true Israelite and sin EVEN ONCE, you become OF the Devil!

But all this notwithstanding, maybe the Jews were lying – maybe they were really physical children of the Devil who were just trying to deceive everyone by saying they were the children of Abraham! I have been told just that. But what did Jesus say?

John 8:37-39 I KNOW that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

Jesus said I KNOW that you are Abraham’s physical seed! So unless HE was lying, these Jews WERE physically the children of Abraham, who was descended from Seth, whom even the Satan’s Seed group admits was the child of Adam, the son of God!

But then He followed up that statement by saying that they are OBEYING a different father – a father that ISN’T Abraham! Because if they were the children of Abraham, they would be working the WORKS of Abraham – and now He is talking about the SPIRITUAL children of Abraham, and the SPIRITUAL Children of the Devil!

Remember, Jesus already admitted that they were the PHYSICAL children of Abraham, but He denies that they are the SPIRITUAL children of Abraham! Because they are the servants of WHOMEVER they obey, and they, the physical children of Abraham, have yielded themselves as servants to the Devil, and have become a part of HIS church, and those very same Jews became one of the prophetic groups that BRUISED THE HEEL of “Eve’s seed”!

John 8:40-44 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

If God was their spiritual father, as God was Abraham’s spiritual father, THEY WOULD ACT LIKE ABRAHAM! Abraham never tried to kill anyone who told HIM the truth – but THEY DID! Therefore, they have a different spiritual father, because they were obeying, not the God of ABRAHAM, but the Devil himself!

John 7:19,22 Did not Moses give YOU the law, and yet none of YOU keepeth the law? Why go YE about to kill me? … Moses therefore gave unto YOU circumcision;

And here, He positively identifies the group of people who killed him. It wasn’t Satan’s Seed who were trying to kill him! It was the Jews – the very same Jews TO WHOM MOSES GAVE THE LAW AND CIRCUMCISION!

Moses did not give circumcision, nor the law, to Satan’s Seed. He gave it to THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, whom even they admit are the CHILDREN OF GOD! And now we come to the last, CLINCHING, CONCLUSIVE proof, that should convince the most stubborn of Satan’s Seed believers that he hasn’t a leg to stand on,

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

As we now know, as a result of this study, the seed of the woman was to be Christ, and Christ’s followers, the TRUE Church of God, who would be persecuted and in many cases killed by the Devil and his followers.

But this refers to another prophecy – a prophecy of bruising the head of the “seed” of the Devil! This prophecy has NOT been fulfilled as yet – but it WILL be! And let’s look at WHOM it is to be fulfilled upon!

Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

The Devil, his system, his followers, AND HIS CHURCHES shall be BRUISED by the SEED of the woman, the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, under the FEET of the TRUE Church of God, that remnant of her seed,! This is the battle between the TWO SEEDS of Genesis 3:15 – the Bible does NOT prove, it does not even imply, that the Devil and Eve had a child who sired the non-white races, nor ANY of the races of mankind! And as one LAST proof, I offer…

Acts 17:26-28 And [God] HATH MADE OF ONE BLOOD ALL NATIONS of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, FOR WE ARE ALSO HIS OFFSPRING.

The ONLY PLACE that the BIBLE defines a “nation” is in Genesis 10. God first details the children of Shem, Ham, and Japeth, who were the fathers of every being, white, black, yellow or red born after the flood, “OF THEM was the whole earth overspread.” (Genesis 9:19) and He sums it up by saying…

Genesis 10:32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

THOSE ARE THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH, as the BIBLE defines it! And in Acts 17, Paul says that WE, that is, ALL NATIONS on this earth are made of ONE BLOOD, and are ALL the OFFSPRING of God through the first Man, ADAM! That in turn means that NO ONE is of a different blood, and that NOONE is the physical child of the devil, otherwise God is a liar!

That is the long answer. I don’t believe it can really be argued rationally past this point. Nonetheless, I haven’t begun to scratch the surface of the objections the Bible has to this Doctrine. But I will quote a few more, just to show anyone who is still undecided what they are up against if they are to try to prove this doctrine from the Bible.

One of the favorite “proofs” of the Satan’s Seed purveyors is that Cain was “OF that wicked one”, Which they say clearly means that he was the physical child of Satan. They cite this scripture,

1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

“There”, they exclaim, “you have proof that Cain was the child of the Devil!” But again I ask the question… is that even remotely what that scripture says? Does the phrase “OF the Devil mean his physical progeny? Well, again I say, let’s see what it means other places in the Bible…

1 Corinthians 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am OF Paul; and I OF Apollos; and I OF Cephas; and I OF Christ.

These people were OF Paul, and OF Apollos and some were even OF Christ! Did this mean that Paul, who had no wife or children, had personally sired many of these people in the Corinthian church? Of course not!

Did it mean that Christ, who also had no physical children, had parented any of them? Equally of course not! These Corinthians were claiming these men as their leaders and were imitating and obeying them! When the Bible speaks of being someone’s children, all it means is that you are obeying that person, or following in their footsteps as a child does. To cite only one example…

1 Peter 3:6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well…

Women are the daughters of Sarah, not because they can trace their lineage back to her, but because (and ONLY IF) THEY DO WELL, and those who can trace their lineage to Sarah are ONLY her daughters for AS LONG as they do well!

And by the same token, those Corinthians weren’t the LITERAL children of Paul, Cephas, or Christ, but they were claiming to be their SPIRITUAL children! They were claiming as a leader, or a role model, these different men.

And in that exact same sense, just as a man is OF Paul, or a woman is OF Sarah, Cain was OF that wicked one! CAIN’S ROLE MODEL WAS THE DEVIL! But let’s let the Bible back that statement up just a little bit more by reading some of the immediate context of 1 John 3:12. Two verses before, we found this scripture,

1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not OF God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Now that scripture says that ANYONE who doesn’t do righteousness is not OF God, and therefore must be OF the Devil! Cain was OF that wicked one, not because he bore the genes of a fallen angel, but BECAUSE WAS NOT WORKING RIGHTEOUSNESS! And checking more of our context, a few verses later we find…

1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

If YOU hate your brother, then you are NOT a child of God! Instead, you, too, are OF that evil one, and a child of the Devil!

Acts 10:34-35 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in EVERY NATION he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is ACCEPTED with him.

Those who would have you believe this doctrine want you to believe that God IS a respecter of persons! Remember, they say that any non-white race is UNABLE to become a child of God, not necessarily because they are inherently evil, but because they are not his children, but the children of the Devil.

And at the same time, most of those whom I know make it very clear that they are not racists and have many good friends who are black, Jewish, etc, some of whom, they admit, are as righteous or even more so than they are! AND BY THIS ADMISSION THEY PROVE THAT GOD MUST BE A RESPECTER OF PERSONS!

How? By admitting that there is even ONE Jew, or Black, or Oriental who is more righteous than they are, AND YET IS NOT ACCEPTED AS A CHILD OF GOD, THEY CALL PETER A FOOL! Because HE said God is NOT a respecter of persons, and that ANYONE, yes, ANYONE, in EVERY NATION who will work righteousness will be accepted by Him! EVEN CAIN, the “FIRSTBORN OF THE DEVIL”, yes, EVEN CAIN would have been accepted by God if he had worked righteousness – GOD PERSONALLY SAID SO!

Genesis 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? IF THOU DOEST WELL, SHALT THOU NOT BE ACCEPTED?

IF CAIN HAD DONE WELL, GOD WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED HIM! EVEN CAIN, THE “FIRSTBORN” OF THE DEVIL!! So God is NOT a respecter of persons! God didn’t hate Cain because he was the child of the Devil, as they tell us, but because CAIN WORKED WICKEDNESS AND OBEYED THE DEVIL!

Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Notice that this man, a Roman centurion was NOT from Israel, because Jesus had not found such great faith in Israel. This man was a gentile, a Roman! A man of impure racial stock who could no doubt find the blood of Cain in his lineage!

Verse 11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

And those Israelites, the physical children of Abraham who were obeying the Devil and who REFUSED to work the works of Abraham will find themselves cast out in the Kingdom, and find gentiles who are NOT of Israel, like this Roman Centurion in their place!

Can any logical mind hold down the fort against such an onslaught of strong evidence as this? Can any conceivable scriptural dancing and flip-flopping allow such a weak doctrine to slip past such outstanding evidence? I think not. But just in case, let’s examine a few more of the objections! There are still a few more final objections that I feel are unanswerable without laughable antics on the part of those who would still try to cling to this doctrinal feux pas.

In Matthew 23, Christ is condemning the Pharisees, whom He identifies as the children of those who killed the prophets, as a generation of vipers, whited sepulchres, and in short, the same people He spoke to in John 8 where He called them the children of the Devil. And to these people, Jews, Pharisees, these half-men who were Satan’s Seed, Christ says…

Matthew 23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

WHY DID CHRIST SEND PROPHETS AND WISE MEN TO SATAN’S SEED?? Not merely to certain “true” children of God in their midst, but to THEM, to have them kill and crucify and persecute. WHY DID CHRIST WASTE GOOD PROPHETS ON SATAN’S SEED?

Remember that this city, Jerusalem, was the capital of Satan’s Seed in Christ’s day, for it was them who killed Christ. SO WHY DID CHRIST WEEP FOR THESE JEWS WHO KILLED HIM, when most believers of Satan’s Seed view them as animals and half-men?

Luke 19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

And these Jews who killed Christ and persecuted His fledgling church, were so near to Christ’s heart that he wept over them and lamented their bullheadedness! CHRIST WOULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS TO A CITY FULL OF PHYSICAL CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL WHO HAD NO HOPE OF SALVATION!

Acts 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, IT WAS NECESSARY that the word of God should first have been spoken to you [Jews]: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

WHY, WHY, ABOVE ALL OTHER OBJECTIONS, did the Apostle to the gentiles have to FIRST preach the gospel to Satan’s Seed? Why must the gospel have been preached to those who are inherently evil and who cannot hope for salvation!! Well, I can answer that question. It wasn’t. It was preached to children of God.

Children of God who, no matter what nation or color or shape they are, have access to the same promises, and the exact same love from the exact same God, if they tremble at his word, because regardless of what you may have been told, God is not a respecter of persons!

Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and TREMBLETH AT MY WORD.

And so, finally I ask… if you believed this doctrine before reading this article, do you still believe it? If so, then either I am missing some enormous section of scripture, which I will concede is possible… (although now, with this much evidence behind me, I am dubious…) or you do not TREMBLE before the words of God. The Bible. Which is it? Am I wrong, or are you?
