Who Are We?
We often get asked who we are, why we are doing this, and what we believe.
To answer them in order…
“Who are you?”
We are a small group of people who believe in explaining scripture, making sense of it, making it plain, and clear, and then teaching it to others to change their lives for the better.
“Why are you doing this?”
We believe it is the job of everyone who knows a truth that his neighbour does not know, to tell his neighbour. If you were reaching your hand towards a hot stove, wouldn’t you want to be warned?
Leviticus 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.Likewise, if you were about to do something that would hurt you much worse than a slight burn, something that could destroy your life, wouldn’t you want told? We would. For that reason, we feel responsible to show everyone possible how to avoid the pain and suffering that this land, and it’s people, are headed towards, and indeed, already experience.
Who is happy today? Who lives a peaceful, full life? Why is it that noone does? THAT is why we do, what we do - the answering of that question.
Lamentations 2:14 Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.
The world today is full of ministers saying “Peace, and safety”. But it is the job of a TRUE minister to discover the sin that is separating a person from God, and help them to see it, and change, so that God will be pleased with them.
Proverbs 28:23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
“What do you believe?”
We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired word of God, given to help mankind avoid grief and misery. We believe that EVERY WORD of the Bible, as it was written, agrees with one another. If they appear to disagree, it is man who understands it wrong and can learn from this apparent contradiction.
John 10:35 …and the scripture cannot be broken;
We believe truth is repeatable, and reproveable. Thus, if you proved something once, no matter how many times you examine it and look at it, it will ALWAYS be true. So TRUTH is safe from examination, and you should WELCOME anyone helping you to examine your beliefs, to make certain that they ARE true.
2 Timothy 3:15-16 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise UNTO SALVATION THROUGH FAITH which is in Christ Jesus. ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is PROFITABLE for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
These scriptures that young Timothy had known, the only scriptures that EXISTED then, the only scriptures that had been WRITTEN when Christ spoke those words in John 10:35, were the books of the Old Testament! And THEY were able to make him WISE UNTO SALVATION - and not just any salvation, but SALVATION THROUGH FAITH!
Therefore, we believe the WHOLE Bible is the word of God, and it is ALL as binding and true today as the day it was written. Some things have changed through time, but the BIBLE, and the Bible ALONE tells us what changed, and not that only, but it also tells us WHY.
In short, we believe that the BIBLE interprets, and EXPLAINS the Bible. IT explains itself, MAN doesn’t explain IT!
